The Curator Course

Curate Spaces Around Friendship, Fun, and Spiritual Conversations

You probably already know this but asking someone who’s not a churchgoer to come to church with you, isn’t the easiest thing to do. If they actually accept the invitation, why is it on the Sunday where the pastor decides to preach on tithing or express his political views? That’s why "tables" exist. Imagine this: a game night, a pickleball match, or backyard BBQ, not exactly what you’d call your typical church event, right? These are spaces Christians curate to build friendships, not preach sermons. Think of them as the casual hangouts where authentic connection happens over laughter and fun experiences.

Here’s the thing, these gatherings are not religious. There’s no agenda, no sermon preaching. Just people being people, finding common ground in things like running clubs or trivia nights. But through these casual gatherings, something deeper can happen. Christians can begin to spot those who are open to more, the spiritually curious. We call them “persons of peace,” actually it’s what Jesus called them in Luke 10. Sign up for the Curator Corse and join the "Table" movement.

Common Questions

curator:

A "curator" is someone who creates and manages non-religious, welcoming spaces, called "tables" where people can gather around shared interests and fun activities, fostering an environment where friendships form naturally. Through intentional conversations, a curator strategically navigates dialogue from casual to spiritual, identifying those who are open to deeper faith discussions, all while ensuring the space remains inclusive and non-pressuring.

What Makes "Tables" Unique?

Here’s what tables aren’t: they’re not Bible studies, and they’re definitely not a bait-and-switch deal where you show up for fun and leave with a sermon. No, these spaces are about building trust and lowering the barrier for non-Christians, giving them a comfortable place to hang out, ask questions, and just be themselves. No one feels like they’re stepping into a religious space, yet over time, they find themselves more open, more curious, and more willing to talk about faith.
